Pedro A. Teixeira

He is a post-doctoral researcher at the Centre Marc Bloch (HU, Berlin). He teaches political philosophy at the Otto-Suhr Institute (FU Berlin), where in 2020 he concluded his PhD on the sources of normativity in Rawls, Habermas and Honneth. In 2020-2021 he was a post-doctoral researcher at the NOVA Institute of Philosophy in Lisbon. In 2017 he was a visiting scholar at the Philosophy Department of Columbia University, and before that he worked as a research assistant at the London School of Economics (LSE) and at NOVA SBE in Lisbon. His research lies at the intersection of political philosophy, political economy and the history of ideas, namely on topics such as the idea of socialism, models of democratic control of the economic sphere and the roots of social and political normativity. He works on subproject 1 (coordinated by Dr. Roberto Frega)
